Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 18, 2026

Ancent Tours (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and your choices. It applies to our website and booking-related communications.

1. Information we collect

  • Contact & booking data: name, email, phone, nationality, travel dates, group size, messages you send via forms or email.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, approximate location, and site usage (e.g. pages viewed) via standard server logs or analytics where enabled.
  • Marketing: if you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email to send updates (you can unsubscribe anytime).

2. How we use information

We use personal data to respond to inquiries, process bookings, coordinate suppliers (lodges, drivers, parks), send confirmations, improve our website, comply with legal obligations, and—only where permitted—send marketing you have agreed to receive.

3. Legal basis

Where applicable (for example under data protection laws in the EU/UK), we rely on contract (bookings), legitimate interests (site security, improving services), consent (newsletters, non-essential cookies), and legal obligation where required.

4. Sharing & processors

We may share data with service providers who help us operate (hosting, email, payment partners where used) and with hotels, parks, and transport partners as needed to deliver your trip. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

5. Retention

We keep booking and contact records as long as needed for the purposes above, including accounting, disputes, and legal retention periods, then delete or anonymize where appropriate.

6. Cookies & similar technologies

We may use cookies or local storage for essential site function, preferences, or analytics. You can control cookies through your browser. See also our cookie notice in the consent dialog when you first visit.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No internet transmission is 100% secure; please use strong passwords and avoid sending sensitive payment details by unsecured email unless we instruct otherwise.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. You may also complain to a supervisory authority where applicable.

9. International transfers

If we transfer data outside Kenya, we will take steps consistent with applicable law (for example appropriate safeguards or your consent).

10. Children

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal data as the primary data subject; a parent or guardian should provide booking information for minors on their behalf.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change; continued use after updates constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
